I’ve been working as a digital nomad in València for over nine months now and I have tried and tested all of the coworking cafés in the city. This is my ultimate list of which cafés to work in València as a digital nomad, freelancer or if you are working remotely.

I’ve broken it down into the following categories, giving a score out of 5 for each. Averaging these out will give the overall score for the best coworking cafe in València, Spain.

These are the best cafés for coworking in València in 2024
Fav Coffee
Location: Colón
Opening Hours: 8am – 8pm
Fav is a firm favourite with digital nomads as a coffee shop to meet with friends. However, it is not as popular as a working café, though during the week there are a few people on laptops. A few of the tables have no laptop signs but there are no general rules around laptops. It is quite small inside and as it is very popular it can fill up fast, particularly those outdoor seats.
- Wifi: 4/5
- Seating: 2/5 (don’t work outside, you’ll be blinded by the sun!)
- Coffee: 5/5
- Value for Money: 3/5 (free oat milk!)
- Atmosphere: 3/5
- Food: 3/5 (I’ve only had the baked goods. They’re good but not the best)
Overall score: 3.3/5
Rogel
Location: Arrancapins
Opening Hours: 8am – 9pm
I love Rogel for working. It’s huge and never too busy. The neighbourhood is relaxed and more residential.
- Wifi: 3/5
- Seating: 4/5 (more plugs and it would be 5/5)
- Coffee: 3/5
- Value for Money: 5/5
- Atmosphere: 4/5
- Food: 4/5
Overall score: 3.8/5

Casa Fran
Location: El Carmen
Opening Hours: 9am – 6pm
Very aesthetic café with really good food. Their wifi is by far the most reliable of all of the coworking cafés in València.
- Wifi: 5/5
- Seating 3/5
- Coffee: 5/5
- Value for Money: 3/5
- Atmosphere: 4/5
- Food: 5/5
Overall score: 4.1/6
Syra Coffee
Location: Multiple but only El Carmen has seating
Opening hours: 8am – 8pm
This is a chain which serves takeaway style specialty coffee. However, some branches have seating, like this one in El Carmen. It’s attached to a hostel so there can be some rowdy backpackers in the general vicinity.
- Wifi: 0/5 (there was none, I hotspotted my 4G)
- Seating: 2/5 (dark and no plugs)
- Coffee: 4/5 (they only have takeaway cups)
- Value for money: 5/5 (they have a pre-paid loyalty card and points system that is amazing value)
- Atmosphere: 1/5
- Food: 2/5 (their pastries never look appealing)
Overall score: 2.3/5
Bastard Coffee and Kitchen
Location: Multiple locations including Ruzafa, Colón and Blasco Ibañez
Opening hours: 9am – 9pm
A classic coworking style café in València. This is another chain, very popular with Spanish people. Their ordering and payment system (when it works!) is very efficient.
- Wifi: 2/5 (depends on the day and the branch, can be awful or great)
- Seating: 4/5 (plugs and plenty of seating)
- Coffee: 3/5 (milk is always a bit cold)
- Value for money: 4/5 (great value on the coffee but not on the food)
- Atmosphere: 5/5
- Food: 4/5
Overall score: 3.7/5
East Crema Coffee
Location: Multiple locations including Plaza de Ayuntamiento and Colón
Opening hours: 8am – 8pm
This is a great café but not designed to be a coworking café in València. Again, another chain, which is across Spain. Very sterile environment probably more suited to socialising than working.
- Wifi: 0/5 (there is none)
- Seating: 2/5 (not many seats and chairs are incredibly uncomfortable)
- Coffee: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5 (get their digital stamp system!)
- Atmosphere: 2/5
- Food: 3/5
Overall score: 2.5/5
Mayan Coffee Roasters
Location: Torres de Quart
Opening hours: 7:30am – 6pm
Not exactly a coworking café in València but an excellent coffee shop nonetheless. They have the earliest opening hours. An incredible Guatemalan family-run business.
- Wifi: 3/5
- Seating: 1/5 (limited to certain seats and 30 mins, though I have seen people stay longer)
- Coffee: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Atmosphere: 1/5 (it’s not a working café)
- Food: 4/5
Overall score: 3.2/5
