ABOUT US
NICE TO MEET YOU
Emma and Úna are two gals from Cork and Limerick in Ireland. They met while studying at Trinity College in Dublin. Emma was cast as the female lead in a play that Úna had written and directed. Fast forward six years later and they started dating!
They were barely together a wet week and they were off on their first holiday to Rome where they gorged on gnocchi and tiramisu. A few months later they decided to leave their working professionals’ lives behind in Dublin. They embarked on an adventure with the aim of pushing themselves outside of their comfort zone, starting by walking the entire Camino de Santiago from France to Spain.
After completing one of the toughest challenges of their lives, they travelled through Portugal and Spain and settled in Seville for a few months. In the new year they went East, starting in The Philippines and working their way back to Europe.
Now they are starting on another adventure – curating Backpackhers, a community for backpackers and travellers eager to push themselves outside of their comfort zones.
UPCOMING PROJECTS
We’re walking the Camino de Santiago again next year in 2024 and we want you to join us!
What is the Camino de Santiago?
Traditionally a religious pilgrimage, “el Camino” has become a bucket list item for those interested in spirituality, inner work, physical and mental challenge and meeting likeminded people. There are many routes, all leading to Santiago in Spain, which vary in difficulty, popularity and distance. You wake up, walk 20-30km, and only think about food, sleep and water. It is a hugely mindful activity which I would implore everyone to try once. Most of all – it is highly addictive!
If you interested in being the first to hear about our organised trips please sign up to our waiting list below. This waiting list is exclusively for the Camino so you won’t be badgered with other promotional materials, we can promise.
